Performance Indicator
This PI captures the number of cases where crew members were unable to carry out any of their duties.
Definition | Number of injuries among the crew or any person being part of the ship's complement (e.g. officers, ratings, cadets, superintendents) which results in the individual being unable to carry out his duties or to return to work, or to a scheduled work shift on the next day following the injury. |

Example
A crew member loses his balance and falls down a staircase. His ankle is strained and he needs to keep his foot high for 2 days, hereby unable to carry out his duties. This counts as one Lost Workday Case.
