KPI028 | Releases of substances V2.6

Key Performance Indicator

This KPI expresses the company’s ability to avoid releases of substances as defined by MARPOL (Annex 1-6).

This is done by counting (and aggregating) the number of (severe) spills of liquid and releases of substances. A severe spill is a spill above one barrel (42 US gallons or 159 litres).
